J. Ted Childs, III is the Global Sales Executive for IBM’s Cloud & Access Management portfolio. This solution set has annual revenues of more than $100 million and includes the recently announced Cloud Security Enforcer solution.

Prior to this role Ted has had multiple roles across North and South America as a part of IBM’s Security System Leadership team.

Between 2005 and 2010, Ted worked with customers in the US Federal Government were he lead successful Security engagements with the US Department of the Treasury, US Department of Homeland Security, US Department of Education as well as Agriculture, Energy, and Interior.

Ted is in his 17th year with IBM and has held several other roles across IBM’s Software Group in 3 of IBM’s SW brands as well as serving as Client leader for distribution Sector in Virginia.

Prior to coming to IBM, Ted spent 5 years working for MCI WorldCom helping customers build and implement secure data and intranet networks.

Ted received a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Kent State University, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Alderson Broaddus College. He lives in Northern Virgina with his wife and two Children.
