Cherwell Consultant

Description

Triad Technology Partners is looking to hire a Cherwell Consultant to join its IT Service Management Professional Services Practice. Triad specializes in the U.S. Public Sector, and many of our customers require that our resources maintain a U.S. Citizenship.  The primary work location will be in Northern Virginia.  You will have the ability to work remotely, although some travel to customer locations (<25%) will be required.  We are looking for an experienced professional with the following profile:

Overall Responsibilities

  • Assist Triad Professional Services consultants in delivering implementations with highest customer satisfaction
  • Maintain and expand working knowledge of current and pre-released Cherwell Service Management software and ITSM best practices
  • Provide training in the form of classroom, brown bag seminars, Webinars, etc.
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions
  • Define configuration design standards
  • Design Cherwell solutions
  • Validate customer requirements
  • Assure the customer business and functional requirements are met
  • Coordinate and maintain accurate and timely online documentation
  • Advise, mentor, and provide hands-on assistance to other team members regarding the technical solution design and execution.
  • Develop and document best practice approaches and reusable assets for the Triad services team
  • Develop integration components (SSO, LDAP, etc)

Experience & Education

Required

  • Two (2) or more years technical understanding of Cherwell Service Management (CSM)
  • Two (2) or more years experience implementing CSM as a Professional Services Consultant (experience with other ITSM or ERP toolsets will be taken under consideration)
  • Three (3) or more years professional programming experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar technical discipline.
  • A proven and verifiable history of analyzing business situations and working within a group environment to provide efficient and effective software solutions.
  • Participation in the full software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Training, and Operational Support.
  • A proven history of providing technical support during all phases of project delivery: development of project estimates, solution design review, documentation creation and review, and peer code reviews.
  • Proven experience implementing and customizing a web architected, n-tiered enterprise application.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required

Desired

  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum software development environment.
  • Development, implementation, or administration of an enterprise technologies (Asset Management, Facilities Management, Human Resources Management systems, etc.) 
  • Knowledge of SaaS, on-premise applications and external databases/warehouses

Skills and Certifications

Required

  • Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, JAX-WS)
  • Familiarity with object oriented programming languages
  • Relational database expertise in relation to an enterprise software system (Oracle, MS Sql, MySQL, etc.)

Desired

  • AJAX, Jelly, or PERL scripting.
  • Expertise hand-coding of DHTML/XHTML and CSS.
  • XML, XSLT
  • Ability to integrate ServiceNow with SalesForce
  • Ability to integrate ServiceNow with MuleSoft
  • Ability to integrate ServiceNow with SnapLogic
  • Ability to integrate ServiceNow with Perspectium
